Owl Birthday Theme Treat Bags

I created an owl birthday invitation a while back and thought I would do treat bag toppers to go with the theme.  I found some little bags at the dollar store that measured 4″W x 6″H, so I cut out a scalloped square from the Accent Essentials Cricut cartridge measuring 4″ square to fit the width of my goody bag.  This scalloped square was actually a frame so the centre was empty, therefore I had to cut another square at about 3.5″ to layer underneath the blue scalloped square frame.  If you don’t have access to the Accent Essentials...

Owl Birthday Invitation

I bought the Hoot ‘n’ Holler Cricut cartridge a while back, and I love all the cute little owls available on it.  I decided to create a birthday invitation with the Hoo’s Having a Birthday cutout on it.  Because it has a few layers on it I was able to use a few different colors for it. I decided to do it in bright colors because when I think of birthdays I think of lots of bright, fun color.  The black is obviously dark, so I decided to layer it onto a bright sunshine yellow. My Latest Owls

These are my newest set of owls that I finished today made with the Hoot N Holler Cricut cartridge.  They’re kind of funky looking with  their bright colors and mis-shaped eyes and bellies.  I added a bit of dimension to the wings by cutting them out of 1/8″ particle board and sticking them on to the existing wings.  I think they’re a bright and cheerful set, and would be a fun addition to a little girl’s room!
