Shopping Day

Today I went shopping with a girlfriend at Michaels.  I got some cute Christmas ribbon and the Martha Stewart Scoring Board.  I was going to get the Scor-Pal but nobody in town carried it and Michaels didn’t have it either.  I got the last Scoring Board on the shelf and I was shocked to see that it was cheaper than the Scor-Pal!  I tried it out at my friends and it worked great.  It sure makes it easy to make cards with multiple folds!  The only downer is I think I forgot it at my friends house.  Oh well, maybe she’s using it tonight!

So I made a couple of quick cards while I was there, but they weren’t anything I was happy with.  It would have been nice to have all my tools available.  Even just my corner punch!  Now I wasted some of my new ribbon on this ugly card, but maybe I can do something to jazz it up a little.  I like to add little stick on jewels and such.  It’ll probably be cute when I do that.

I brought my Cuttlebug over to my friends house as well.  She doesn’t have one yet but she seemed to really like it.  You just can’t beat a good embossing folder!  And there are lots of really nice Christmas ones too.  The snowflakes and ornaments folders are super nice.  I’ve also got a cute snowman and a couple of other designs.

Hopefully this Christmas I’ll be able to work on my Christmas cards.  I need to surf the net a little more for some inspirational ideas!
