HOME Blocks

I felt like getting crafty today with all my unfinished wood, so I decided to make a set of HOME blocks.  I used 1 x 4 pine wood, cut into 4 inch tall blocks, and set them on a 2 x 2 square piece of pine cut at 14 inches long.  I picked out some mostly teal, black and grey patterned scrapbook papers for my background, and used grey cardstock for the lettering.  I cut the letters out with my handy dandy Cricut machine and mod podged everything on.  After clear coating all the blocks, I decorated them with some paper flowers, ribbon, and gems.  I’m really happy...

Halloween Banner

I felt like making a Halloween craft today, so I thought I’d try a banner.  I used the pennant svg from the Toil and Trouble SVG Kit (click the link to go to this kit), along with a few other SVG’s from some other kits.  I picked black cardstock paper for my background pennant, which was done with the pointy shadow effect on my Cricut machine, and purple, red, and orange cardstock for the top layer.  I was going to use patterned Halloween scrapbook paper, but I thought it might distract from the letters in my word SPOOKY. I got the bat and flower svgs...

Halloween SVG’s

I went crazy doing up some svg’s today, but I can’t help myself, they’re all just sooo darned cute!!  I got these ones from a couple different kits, the Halloween SVG Collection, and Party On Elm Street SVG Kit.  I just love the little spider!  I’m going to cut out a bunch for Halloween and cut out pieces of sticky back magnetic strip to stick to the backs of them, then I’m going to put them all over my front door.  They’re just too fun not to do something with.  I might add some red gems to the eyes when I do them as well, like I...

Bug SVG’s

I got the cutest bug svg’s from Cheryl’s Cute Bugs SVG Kit.  It has all the little critters shown in my photo, plus svg’s to make the door hanger that I posted about below, as well as svg’s to make two different cards and a scrapbook page.  These would be cute to do up a little bigger and stick on a child’s bedroom wall.  Plus, they can be done in different colors so they could work for a girl or boy!  I added some little gems to mine for the eyes and spots on the ladybug, as well as wire for the butterfly antenna.  I also used a pop dot...
