Halloween SVG Craft

Here’s a Halloween SVG I got from SVGCuts.  It’s a treat cone decorated as a bat!  I thought it was so cute and just had to get it.  This came in a kit with a cauldron, a scrapbook page layout, and a spider template.  I thought this treat cone would be perfect to decorate and fill with candy to give to my boys as a special Halloween surprise.  Although, once I made it, I thought it would be a great decoration as well and hung it up on one of my closet doors in my house :).  It was just too cute! This Halloween SVG was so easy to make, and they have a...

Wooden Pumpkin and Boo Blocks

Hallowe’en is getting closer!  The leaves are falling off the trees, and the days are getting cool and crisp.  Fall is my favorite time of year! In honor of fall and Hallowe’en I created a wooden pumpkin and some cute little BOO blocks to display in my front entrance.  I used an SVG to cut out the bottom pumpkin and use as my template to cut out in wood.  I then made an oval to attach to the front of the pumpkin just to give it some dimension. I painted them in yellow ochre, school bus yellow, and leaf green.  I used the yellow ochre as my base color for...

Witch Boot SVG

I received my October issue of the Cricut magazine yesterday.  I was so excited considering I thought my subscription was up!  I was even thumbing through the last issue I got a couple of days ago looking for Halloween ideas, but of course didn’t really find anything.  This issue has lots of cute ideas, so I was definitely inspired to make something! On page 20 they created a couple of pictures on canvas boards using the Happy Hauntings Cricut cartridge.  They did a hat on one,  and a witch’s boot on the other.  I don’t yet have this cartridge but I...

Thanksgiving Day Cricut Craft – Go...

I made this set of Gobble ‘Til Ya Wobble blocks using my Cricut machine today.  It was SO EASY to make.  It took me next to no time at all.  I think this is one of the easiest, and quickest, crafts I’ve made!  All I needed were three 7″ blocks made from two by four wood, which I had my husband cut for me.  This wood is very inexpensive, and you can even get it cut into smaller pieces at the hardware store for easy hauling home, if you don’t have a truck :). I gave each piece of wood a quick coat of brown paint.  I only did one coat because you...
